Miles first fell in love with soccer as a spectator during the 2002 World Cup. He was captivated by the young, overachieving USMNT who made it all the way to the quarterfinals. As a result Miles and his family bought season tickets to RSL in their inaugural season in 2005 and from there he was hooked for life.
Miles served a two year LDS mission from 2006-2008 in Mexico, despite being a spectator for years, it was the first time he fell in love with it as a player and as a cultural way of life. Upon returning home in 2008, he came home with an even deeper love for the game. The team had a brand new stadium, a new dreadlocked D-mid, and started winning trophies. Miles has ridden the highs and lows of Real Salt Lake both on and off the pitch ever since and he doesn’t plan on getting off the ride any time soon!
